Black & Decker Lawn Hog 12 Amp 19-Inch Electric Mulching Mower with Rear Bag #MM875:
Black & Decker Lawn Hog 12 Amp 19-Inch Electric Mulching Mower with Rear Bag #MM875 Excellent mulching mower. Totally satisfied with its performance and ease of use.
was a great idea, but sucked in reality:
I did all my research on electric mowers and narrowed it down to this particular mower. It came just like it said, out of the box, tighten a few knobs and plug in and start mowing. It was light and very little vibration and it did take a little to get used to the cord. I finished the back yard and moved to the front. I plugged it back up and pulled the lever. And nothing... Working well--but no manual:
Lawnmower is working well. But there was no manual (or warranty) in the box and, though they promised to send one, none has come from Black & Decker.
A little short on power:
This is the second mower of this model I have owned. In new heavy grass you will have to mow a half row at a time and then overmow again to get an even cut and the grass small enough. Be sure and avoid the natural tendancy of rolling it over a steep bank to get the weeds as a rock strike deflected the blade into the bottom plastic of the mower and it was destroyed--chopped up. I didn't want to pay the price for a battery power mower so got this one again and am being more careful.
